What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is the embedded digital version of the physical SIM card used in your device. The eSIM functions like a traditional SIM card.

The main benefit of an eSIM for a wireless customer is that it allows for combining multiple phone numbers on a single device. It also allows for more digital experience and flexibility during the activation process. It also provides improved security because it cannot be removed and used in another device, if your device is lost or stolen.

Supported Devices:

iPhone models: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models do not have a physical SIM tray and require activation with an eSIM.

Samsung Devices: Galaxy S23, S22, S21, S20 series, Galaxy Z series, Galaxy Note20 series, and A54.

Please visit one of our stores for assistance on activating your device using eSIM. Current NorthwestCell subscribers can also call 1-800-331-6341 to request eSIM activation over a Wi-Fi network.
